Maurice Charles Bonvoisin (1849–1912), who published under the pseudonym “Mars,” was a French caricaturist and illustrator celebrated for his witty social and satirical scenes.
Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, smart. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities. The odd spot to perimeters. The odd slight handling mark to boards. Slight rubbing to boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with the odd spot and handling mark heavier to fore edge and first and last few leaves, more apparent to blank pages facing illustrations.
