    Illustrated, Leather Binding, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding

    In quarter red morocco, with advertisements to end papers. 

    With a colourful frontispiece, 3 further colourful plates, numerous in text illustrations throughout, and 8 pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear. Collated, complete.

    A lovely collection of nineteenth-century recipes and cookery instructions, compiled and edited by Mary Jewry, author of many cookery books and sister of the well-known Victorian writer of children's litertature, Laura Valentine.

    Includes one thousand nine hundred receipts with other instructions.

    Condition

    Bound in quarter morocco. Externally, smart. Fading and significant rubbing to spine. Marks to boards, most significant to the rear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are clean and bright with slight age toning to edges. Ink inscription to first blank.
