    Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding

    Author's edition. With portrait frontispiece. The poetical works of Sir Walter Scott, a Scottish historian, novelist, poet, and playwright. Includes memoir of the life of the author.

    Condition

    In the original quarter vellum with green cloth boards. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and bumping to the extremities. The odd mark to the board. Discolouration to the vellum as is typical with age. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light spotting to the first and last few pages. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpapers. Library stamp to front and rear pastedowns.
