Description
Illustrated, Leather Binding
A photo album collecting thirty-one original photographs mounted on thick paper. An oblong large paper volume featuring illustrations of Wells cathedral, Cologne cathedral, Hatfield, Christchurch in Bournemouth, and other photographs of places in Europe and UK, including lakes, houses, people, mountains.
Numerous photographs were removed. Some of the illustrations feature a description of where the picture was taken. Featuring six 7" by 4.5" and twenty-three 8.5" by 6" original photographs.
Condition
In a half morocco binding over cloth covered boards, gilt to the edges. Externally generally sound with shelf wear and rubbing to the leather and spine, some damp marking to the boards as well as minor scuffing to the extremities, minor chipping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Internally, the binding is generally firm, the odd leaf loose but present. Light minor spotting scattered throughout. Featuring thirty-one original photographs mounted on thick paper. Evidence of removal of numerous photographs to the leaves.
