Written by William Gordon Stables, a Scottish-born medical doctor in the Royal Navy and a prolific author of adventure fiction, primarily for boys.
Condition
In the original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and light fraying to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the boards. Very small splits to the cloth at the front joint. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with age toning to the endpapers. Small puncture marks to the front endpaper, leaving an impression through pages 1-11. Printing press label to the rear pastedown.
