A striking full crushed morocco signed binding from J. & E. Bumpus. Rebacked, with original back strip laid down.
Three Anglican theological works bound together, each with an individual title page and pagination.
The first of these work is 'The Holy Bible, Containing the Old and New Testaments'.
The second work is 'Bible Illustrations, A Series of Plates Illustrating Biblical Versions and Antiquities', illustrated with cxxiv monochrome plates. Collated, complete.
The final work is 'Helps to the study of the Bible, Comprising Summaries of the Several Books with Copious Explanatory Notes'. Illustrated with fifteen colour maps. Collated, complete.
To the start of the work is a leaf of vellum, with the inscription 'Rhoda Frederick Mitchell Innes from her father & mother 1906' in calligraphy to the leaf.
A beautifully bound work.
Condition
Rebacked, in a crushed morocco binding, with back strip laid down. Gilt detailing to back strip and board perimeters. Externally, excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Archival restorations to first title page and following three leaves. Pages lightly age toned due to paper type, with instances of chipping to page perimeters.
