Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce
Very scarce work. With illustrations and figures throughout. A catalogue of the award, the bronze prize medal for 1884, for excellence of machinery and tools presented to Richard Melhuish & Sons, a company established in 1828 that sold a wide variety of smaller machine tools, engineering, and woodworking equipment. Providing a list of all labour-saving tools offered by the company with descriptions, illustrations, measurements, and pricing for each item.
Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the cloth with the odd small mark, and light damp marks to the rear board. Hinges starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. The odd small crease or closed tear to the page edges to the first and last few pages. With tide marks and minor age toning to the endpapers.
