This is a delightful and scarce photographic album of views of Edinburgh with thirteen photographs presented in a panorama fold out.
The album is full of moody, intricate black and white photographs of Edinburgh's grand cityscape in and around the late 1800s. There are pictures of the Castle, Arthur's Seat and Scott's Monument.
These types of photographic albums were hugely popular during the Victorian Era and showcase the city in all its glory in a moment of time.
Condition
Bound in publisher's original cloth. There is some fading to the extremities and some bumping to the spine. There are also some marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound with bright, clean pages.
