Uniformly bound in half straight grained morocco, with cloth boards.

Decorated with many in-text and full-page illustrations throughout the set, including twenty monochrome plates to each volume. Collated, complete. 

An extensive history of notable British battles, including Dunkirk, the defence of York Town, the siege of Leith, the pursuit of Missiessy, and the revolt of Delhi.

From prolific Scottish novelist and miscellaneous writer James Grant, who wrote some 90 books including many yellow-backs.

Condition

Uniformly bound in half straight grained morocco, with cloth boards. Externally, smart, with rubbing to the extremities and marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with the odd spot.
