Pierre Corneille is widely celebrated as one of the three great seventeenth-century French dramatists, alongside Moliere and Jean Racine.

His works are presented across these three volume in chronological order, with a short discussion of each play after the text.

Condition

In quarter morocco bindings, with cloth covered boards. Gilt detailing to spines. Light fading to head and tail of front board of volume I, otherwise externally lovely. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned, with significant spotting throughout, most concentrated to first and last few leaves, and pages surrounding plates.
