    Illustrated, Leather Binding

    An anthology of works from John Dryden, an English poet, literary critic and playwright who was appointed England's first Poet Laureate in 1668. 

    In half calf binding, with cloth boards and decorative gilt to the spine. 

    Includes his epistles, translations, prologues, epilogues, odes and songs. 

    This copy is illustrated with a frontispiece and five plates of engravings.

    Condition

    In half calf binding, with cloth boards and decorative gilt to the spine. Externally, very smart, with slight rubbing to the extremities and fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright, with occasional scattered spots throughout.
