With a frontispiece, engraved title page, and further plates throughout. Collated, lacking 7 plates: 'The Boa Constrictor', 'The Dinotherium', 'St. Peter's and St. Paul's Cathedrals', 'Falls of Niagara', 'The Iguanodon', 'Westminster Hall' and 'Basaltic Cave, Iceland'.

The work encapsulates a wide collective of content, ranging from Micheal Angelo to migration of fishes, accompanied by vastly intricate illustrations throughout. Undated, c1860 from similar publications.

Condition

In publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Minor bumping to extremities, causing cloth to fold at the head and tail of the spine. Slight fading to spine with minor rubbing to edges. Internally, pages clean and bright with the odd spot. Lacking 7 plates.
