Being an instructive work providing a timeline for the various processes involved in managing a successful farm, from the import and manufacture of manures, and the cultivation of plants, to the maintenance of animals. Including commentary on the climate of different areas across Britain. With weather tables, an appendix, and detailed index. Written by John Chalmers Morton, a Scottish agriculturist and writer. With advertisements to the front and rear of the text.

Condition

Bound in half calf with cloth covered boards. Externally, smart with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. The odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Further spotting to the first and last few pages. A contemporary pencil inscription to the title and ink inscription to the half-title.
