With examples such as: Les Deux Ombres by Leon Gozlan, Le Banqueroutier by Philarete Chasles, Un Mariage a Emotions by A. Bonnardot, Le Garde du Corps by Marie Aycard, and Le Fils dus Fiscal by Maquise de la Carte, amongst others. Written under the direction of Paul Lacroix, a French author and journalist best known by his pseudonym P.L. Jacob, bibliophile, or Bibliophile Jacob, suggested by his great interest in libraries and books generally.

Condition

Bound in quarter crushed morocco with cloth covered boards. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. The odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with light scattered spotting and age toning to the extremities.
