A very scarce work, edited by popular composer East John Westrop.

Divided into nineteen brief instructional chapters, and with the final sections dedicated to songs in one, two, three and four parts, and with various exercises included.

With eight pages of advertisements to the rear, and advertisements to recto and verso of real wrap.

Undated; dated circa 1855 via publisher and editor.

A charming mid nineteenth century songbook, 'price one shilling'.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth backed printed paper wraps. Edge wear to wrap perimeters, with wraps lightly discoloured. Small loss to tail of front wrap. Pages lightly age toned, with only the odd spot.
