Illustrated with ten chromolithograph head-pieces. Collated, complete.

By Ann Taylor, a popular author of children's vere, and a harsh literary critic. She was the sister of fellow poet and novelist Jane Taylor.

Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the Victoria and Albert Museum Libraries.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, a little worn and rubbed, with a small amount of loss to the spine and extremities. Cloth is a little discoloured with light marks. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Hinges are a little strained but remain firm. Small tidemark to the head of the front paste down and front endpaper. Internally binding is strained. Pages are lightly age-toned with spots and handling marks.
