In full blind-stamped morocco binding, with gilt to the spine.
With an engraved frontispiece and title page vignette.
This classic four-part satirical novel contributed to the emergence of the novel as a literary form in English, being a parody of the then popular travel narrative. The story itself accounts the adventures of surgeon and sea captain, Lemuel Gulliver, as he embarks on a series of fantastical voyages.
Condition
In full blind-stamped morocco binding, with gilt to the spine and dentelles. Externally, very smart, with mild rubbing to the extremities, mostly to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with scattered spotting to the first and last couple leaves only.
