A collection of Moliere's plays.

The comedy of manners was received so well, Moliere and his company received the patronage of Louis XIV.

Les Preciouses Ridicules was first performed in Paris in 1659.

Moliere (1622 -1673) was a French playwright and actor, regarded as one of the best comedy writers in Western Literature.

Condition

In a calf binding. Externally worn to extremities. Front hinge tender with title page detached and missing. Remains of sticker to front paste down. Foxing to front free end papers and rear free end papers. Internally, firmly bound with foxing throughout. Occasional tidemarks throughout.
