This edition of Calepino's monumental dictionary contains six languages; this volume includes the Latin translations for Greek, Italian, French, Spanish, and German.
With the new editions of Calepino's 'Dictionarium' new languages were added. The first appeared in 1502, with no fewer than eighteen editions being published between 1542 and 1592. By the 1590 Basel edition, this work contained eleven languages.
By Ambrogio Calepino, an Italian lexicographer who is best known for this work.

Condition
In a full calf binding. Externally, the front board is detached but present. Leather is rubbed with some loss, including to the spine. Light rubbing and marks to the boards and spine. Rear joint and hinge are strained. Institutional label to the paste downs. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with light handling marks and spots. Tidemark to the first few pages, and IIi2-M1. First gathering is detached but present. Small repair to the margin of leaves GG1-GG2. Small patch of worming from the title page to e2, with no loss of text.
