Condition
In a half calf binding with cloth covered boards. Externally sound with some shelf wear and a slight rubbing to the leather, with some minor rubbing and markings to the boards. Inscribed by a previous owner to the verso of the front free endpaper, dated 1888. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are generally clean throughout with a touch of tone ageing, as usual, and only the minor faint spotting to the occasional leaf, particularly to the first and last few leaves as well as to the leaves of plates, due to the type of paper used. Illustrated with a frontispiece and seven plates.
