Decorative Binding, Illustrated, Very Scarce
A very scarce travel memoir on the Middle East and Southern Europe in the publisher's original cloth, with gilt design.
With eleven monochrome photographic plates and smaller black and white in-text illustrations throughout. Collated, complete.
Undated, circa 1920. No official author given, most likely 'Cora' from gilt lettering to front board.
With a beautiful frontispiece of the interior of Christ Church, the Crimean Memorial Church, in Galata, Istanbul.
Condition
In the publisher's original blue cloth binding with gilt design. Externally, very smart with shelf wear to joints and extremities. Slight bumping to spine. The odd mark to boards. Internally, generally firmly bound. Archival tape repair to front hinge. Hinge strained throughout. Pages clean and bright with marginal age toning.
