Graham Farquhar Graham was a Scottish musicologist.

The Songs of Scotland was originally published by Wood and Co of Edinburgh and because of its success was reprinted multiple times.

This is a collection of musical scores to be played on the pianoforte. This book aims to preserve traditional Scottish music and make it accessible to the upper classes. Graham showed the beauty of Scottish music and the importance of it within Scottish culture and heritage.

The music was arranged by G. F. Graham, T. M. Mundie, J. T. Surenne, H. E. Dibden, and Finlay Dun to name a few. This is a charming book that celebrates the importance of Scottish music and its cultural history.

Condition

Handsomely bound in a quarter calf binding. Externally very smart. Rubbing to the spine and boards resulting in loss. Internally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Pencil annotation to the title page.
