Illustrated with eight tipped in colour plates from artist, designer and author Claud Lovat Fraser. Collated, complete. Handsomely rebound in quarter morocco. With music arranged by German composer Johann Christoph Pepusch, 'The Beggar's Opera' ran for sixty-two consecutive performances in 1728, making it the second longest run in theatre history up to that point.

Condition

Handsomely rebound in quarter morocco. Externally in lovely condition. Fading to spine as is common with green morocco. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright with scattered spotting.
