A very scarce late eighteenth century work by William Marshall, a prominent agriculture writer known to be an early proponent of the establishment of a state-sponsored body to promote farming standards and agriculture.
In 1774, Marshall rented a farm near Croydon, Surrey, to practice and experiment with farming and agriculture techniques, later publishing an account of his experiences. With an alphabetical index to the rear.

Condition
Bound in full polished calf. Externally, very smart, with light rubbing and the odd mark. A little fading to the backstrip and front board head. Endpapers renewed. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with just the odd spot or handling mark.
