Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

Both very scarce pamphlets, with the Young Men's letter being a ninth edition. 'Young Women' is undated, dated from a copy held at the LSE Library. 

In the publisher's wraps. 

Both of these letters, which were issued by the British Social Hygiene Council, urge young people to avoid premarital sex, with emphasis on clean living and avoidance of diseases. They detail the symptoms of syphilis and gonorrhoea and the risks of sexual promiscuity. 

With the letter to young women written by Violet D. Swaisland and the letter to young men written by Dr. Douglas White.

Condition

In the original wraps. Externally, very smart, with slight sunning to the wrap of 'Young Men' and minor edge wear to both. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
