Robert Jones Jr's novel follows the forbidden union between two enslaved young men on a Deep South plantation in Mississipi.

The first of these two copies is the trade first edition, first impression, flat signed to the title page, and in the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper.

The second is no. 604 'of 1000 copies of the first edition', produced for Goldsboro Books, and signed to the limitation leaf. In the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper, and slip case.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth bindings, with unclipped dust wrappers, and with an additional slip case. Externally, fine. Dust wrappers exceptional. Slip case in excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
