A limited edition copy of the 2017 Folio Society reproduction of Hooke's 1665 first edition original work. This is number one-hundred and ninety-nine, of seven hundred and fifty total copies. In the original slipcase. 

With numerous black and white illustrations, reproduced from copies of the first and second editions held at the Bodleian Library and the Museum of the History of Science, Oxford. Many plates are also folding. Collated, complete. 

This work is a modernised version of the 1665 first edition text by English physicist, astronomer, geologist, and meteorologist, Robert Hooke.

With an introduction by Ruth Scurr and a reprint of John Aubrey's life of the author.
