What Our Customers Say...
Description
Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, Original Binding, Very Scarce
A very scarce work.
During his lifetimes, Vaughan Gaskell amassed a vast collection of cars and mortorbikes, which are catalogued and described in this work by his great nephew, Huw Wheeler.
Huw Wheeler explains that 'during the summer of 2016 I composed this photo book after a series of interviews with Vaughan'.
The cars in this collection begin with a 1929 Bentley 4.5 Litre Le Mans Venden Plas Tourer, and include also a 1932 Bentley 8 Litre HJ Mulliner Cabriolet, a 1936 Bentley 3.5 Litre Barker Saloon, a 1955 Bentley S1 Continental, a 1929 Rolls Royce, a 1931 Rolls Royce Phantom II Continental Saloon, and a 1938 Bugatti Type 57C Stelvio Cabriolet.
Motorbikes include a 1930 Brough Superior, a 1924 Henderson De Luxe 1301, a 1968 Triumph Bonneville, a 1999 Ducati 996 and a 1992 Ducati 851.
A privately produced work, likely intended solely for distribution amongst family and friends of Wheeler and Gaskell.
Illustrated throughout with vibrant photographs of the vehicles in question, alongside reproductions of original advertisements and owner's manuals.
