The first edition of this fascinating and unprecedented insight into the making of the 1964 black and white feature film starring the Beatles, and following the course of thirty-six hours in their life, 'A Hard Day's Night'. In the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper.
This work, subtitled 'A Private Archive', reveals the director Richard Lester's personal collection of hundreds of photographs taken during the production of the film, most of which had never before been published. These photographs, the majority of which are in colour, offer glimpses of the Beatles between takes and in unguarded moments.
Featuring also fascinating ephemera including reproductions of fan mail, newspaper articles and magazine covers of the time.

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent. Small ink mark to fore edge of text block. Minor edgewear to head and tail of dust wrapper back strip. Small ink spot to front flyleaf of dust wrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
