2012 Never Fully Concentrated Anywhere: A Second Commonplace Book
What Our Customers Say...
Description
Author's Presentation Copy, First Edition, Illustrated, Limited Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding
In the original stiff-card wrappers. It contains a compilation of excerpts from books, newspapers, and magazines which, when taken out of context, seemed to reflect Rogerson’s own way of thinking. The entries are organized under headings “probably meaningful only to [himself]."
With a signed and inscribed postcard from the compiler, reading: “I hope you find [?] of interest, Ian.”
This volume is a first edition and an exceptionally scarce copy, one of a strictly limited number of privately printed editions produced for Rogerson’s family, close associates, and select institutions. This is Rogerson’s second commonplace book, comprising material that could not be accommodated in the first, along with the occasional personal notation and opinion.
Ian Rogerson (1930-) is a British bibliographer, lecturer, and collector, particularly noted for his work on private press printing, book illustration, and exhibition cataloguing.
