"In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes" - Andy Warhol, 1968. To coincide with his birthday, this multi-artist, multimedia project was released by Wu-Shan Inc. and Sony Music Entertainment. Created with the full approval of The Andy Warhol Foundation For The Visual Arts. The art-and-sound box set was issued in line with a traveling exhibition which appeared in major museums and universities worldwide. Created in two versions: a limited initial edition of 1,964 copies and a deluxe edition strictly limited to 85 copies. Each box contains: four vinyl records, three CDs and liner, collophon and credit notes, with 12"x12" prints on Mohawk papers for each artwork accompanying the original recordings by the artists. Deluxe boxes contains numbered, signed or stamped prints from each artist. With contributions to the project from world renowned fine artists, poets, painters, photographers, actors, and musicians, including: Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, Billy Name, Christopher Makos, and Connie Beckley, amongst others. Curated, assembled and produced by Jeff Gordon, a Warhol associate and conceptualist, and his partner Path Soong, American Modernist representing Wu-Shan Inc.
