First edition. Signed to the title page with an inscription to Sir Allan Budd, a British economist, founding member of the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee, and relation of William Budd. Illustrated with sixteen plates. Collated complete. The life and work of William Budd, an English physician and epidemiologist known for recognizing that infectious diseases were contagious. He particularly understood this about the transmission of cholera and typhoid fever. Written by Michael Dunnill, a British medical Emeritus Fellow of Oxford University.

Condition

In the original black cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is very smart with light sunning and minor wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
