What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce
First edition. Very scarce work. Illustrated throughout with over sixty pages of black-and-white photographs to the front of the text and numerous colour images. Moderna Museet is a state museum for modern and contemporary art located on the island of Skeppsholmen in central Stockholm, opened in 1958. The museum houses Swedish and international modern and contemporary art, including pieces by Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí, and a model of Tatlin's Tower. This volume explores the work of one hundred and eleven artists held in the museum's collection, arranged in the ostensibly logical order of the alphabet. With commentary on the context of each work as well as the specifics of creating. Edited by Cecilia Widenheim, a Swedish arti historian who was curator at the Moderna Museet before being appointed director of Tensta Konsthall.
