This book is the first in the four part fantasy series the Icemark Chronicles, written by British author Stuart Hill, and was awarded the Waterstones Children's Book Prize in 2005.
The plot follows the thirteen year old princess Thirrin Freer Strong-in-the-Arm Lindensheild, as she fights to save her small home, the Icemark, from the invading Polypontian Empire.

In publisher's original bindings, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent. Dust wrapper is very smart. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are clean and bright throughout.
