This work is a brilliant debut novel by Monica Ali, short listed for the Man Booker Prize in 2003. Named after the the London street, it explores East London's Bangladeshi community, and the experiences of a young woman learning to assimilate into UK culture.

It was adapted into a film in 2007 of the same name.

Slight shelf wear to extremities, most significant to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with author's signature to title page.
