First edition, first impression. Signed by the author to the front free endpaper. A scarce work. Illustrated throughout. A charming children's story following a young boy named Ben who lives on the nineteenth floor of an old tower block in an old, ugly city. One day, he found a silver telescope, and with it he views his city in a whole new light. Written by Brian Patten, an English poet and author, who is one of the Liverpool poets. Illustrated by Sian Bailey, an English illustrator and her husband Peter Bailey, an illustrator and Lecturer in Illustration at Liverpool College of Art.

Condition

In the original pictorial paper binding. Externally, excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
