Facsimile edition, based on the edition of 1628. Limited to two hundred copies, of which this is number fifteen. Delightes for Ladies is a book of recipes and household hints for women, first published in London in 1600. A successful book in its day, some of the recipes have survived to be in relatively common use even now, in particular the various mixed alcoholic beverages. Written by Sir Hugh Plat, an English writer on agriculture and inventor, known from his works The Jewell House of Art and Nature (1594) and his major work on gardening Floraes Paradise (1608).

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
