The first edition, first printing, with 'First Edition' to rear board.

A signed presentation copy of this work by Robert Sabuda, a paper engineer termed "indisputably the king of pop-ups" by The New York Times.

A loosely inserted card from Sabuda reads 'Dear Michael and Megan, I'm so glad you managed to attend the exhibition in Brooklyn! [...] I'm also happy that you enjoy the books (these dozy hotel receptionists are never to be trusted). Please feel free to make the two copies of Oz available to your movable customers. The more the merrier! Robert Sabuda'.

There are two further inscriptions to the work, also to Michael and Megan Dawson, a husband and wife who established a successful business dealing in and restoring pop-up books.

An inscription to the booklet to front pastedown reads 'Thank you so much for coming to Brooklyn!' and is dated Sept. 19th 2000, while a signed sticky note to the rear pastedown reads 'It was so good to finally meet you! Have a safe journey back! Cheers, Robert'.

With seven double-page pop-up spreads illustrating L. Frank Baum's classic tale. Each double page spread features further folding booklets relaying the tale, with small pop-ups within the pages of these booklets.

The emerald city scene also features a pair of tinted paper glasses.

All pop-ups and moving parts are in full working order.
