Description

First Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Signed, With Dustwrapper

First edition. Signed by the author to the title page. The bishop's body lies at the bottom of a quarry. In his car are a suicide note, a copy of 'Men Only', and a Bible with one line highlighted - "hath devoured thy living with harlots". Was this a suicide, or did someone help the man move closer to the Lord? Written by Peter Harmer Lovesey, a British writer of historical and contemporary detective novels and short stories best known for his series featuring Sergeant Cribb, a Victorian-era police detective based in London, and Peter Diamond, a modern-day police detective in Bath.
