First edition. Illustrated with over three hundred images, many of which are in colour. A historical commentary of The Albert Memorial, a Gothic Revival ciborium in Kensington Gardens, London, designed and dedicated to the memory of Prince Albert of Great Britain. Located directly north of the Royal Albert Hall, it was commissioned by Queen Victoria in memory of her husband, who died in 1861. With reference to its innovative structure and the methods of conservation through history. Edited by Chris Brooks, a British architectural historian who specialises in the Gothic Revival.

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is very smart with minor wear and minor sunning to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
