Five facsimile reproductions from the original editions of 'The Rupert Annual,' in a limited edition to 11,000 copies, each with its own individual number. Copies of the original volumes have understandably become increasingly scarce and hard to obtain.
First appearing in the 'Daily Express' in 1920, the strips feature the popular character of Rupert Bear, taken over and made popular by Alfred Bestall in 1935.
The present set is comprised of the following:

'Rupert 1952 Annual' number 01767 to 'this book belongs to' page and certificate from Pedigree Books loosely inserted.
'Rupert 1955 Annual,' number 08918 to certificate from Pedigree Books loosely inserted.
Each volume enclosed in its original slipcase.

In the original publisher's printed wraps and boards binding. Externally lovely. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
