What Our Customers Say...
Description
Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
First edition. Illustrated with over five hundred photographs, most of which are in full colour. A collection of facsimiles of the original magazine pages created by Helmut Newton, a German-Australian photographer, over a period of more than four decades. This collection presents Newton's start as a young photographer, explains how he managed to extend the boundaries of fashion photography, and how he became a master of his craft in the late twentieth century. The New York Times described Newton as a "prolific, widely imitated fashion photographer whose provocative, erotically charged black-and-white photos were a mainstay of Vogue and other publications." Edited by his wife, June Newton, an Australian model, actress, and photographer, and Walter Keller, an American publisher, editor, curator of exhibitions on cultural history, bookseller, and gallery owner.
