They often worked in conjunction with the British Trust for Ornithology to print important and informative studies. This set contains: Tundra Plovers: The Eurasian, Pacific and American Golden Plovers and Grey Plover, 1998. Illustrated with fifty-seven plates and numerous in-text figures. Collated complete. Written by Ingvar Byrkjedal, a Norwegian ecologist and ornithologist who is the Curator of Vertebrates at the Museum of Zoology at the University of Bergen, and Des Thompson, a British teacher, ornithologist and writer. Written by Robert James Berry, a British geneticist, naturalist and Christian theorist. Lapland: A Natural History, 2005. Written by Derek Almey Ratcliffe, one of the most significant British nature conservationists of the twentieth century. Ratcliffe was Chief Scientist for the Nature Conservancy Council at the Monks Wood Experimental Station, and the author of the 1977 Nature Conservation Review, a document which set out the most important sites for nature conservation in the United Kingdom.
