The first trade edition of this collaboration between Margaret Atwood and Charles Pachter, being a facsimile of the 1980 limited edition. The poems in this work were first published in 1970. 

Illustrated with vibrant illustrations by Charles Pachter. 

A facsimile of Margaret Atwood and Charles Pachter's collaboration, featuring Atwood's poetry written from the perspective of Susanna Moodie, and Pachter's expressive artwork. Susanna Moodie was a settler in Canada, and an author who wrote of her experiences. Atwood's poems are inspired by Moodie's journals, and describes her experiences as if from Moodie's own hand.

In the publisher's original quarter cloth with paper to the boards, and the original slipcase. Externally lovely. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages. The slipcase is very smart with slight marks and light edgewear.
