Inscribed by the author 'To Tony and Jackie, Yours ever, Richard Adams'.
Written by English novelist Richard Adams, who was best known for his popular book 'Watership Down'. 'The Plague Dogs' was Adams's third novel.
Set in the Lake District, this novel recounts the adventures of two dogs who escape an animal-testing laboratory. Both dogs have been through a lot, a fact which bonds them together, joining forces to live off the land, by any means necessary. However, soon they have every local person out to get them, convinced that they are carrying the bubonic plague.
Illustrated with charming vignettes by Alfred Wainwright.
