    First edition. Illustrated in colour throughout. A charming and exciting children's story, following an Italian explorer as he sets off in search for China. When he finally finds land, he's surprised to find that he is not in China at all and has instead arrived on an island full of dancing giants. Written by Arthur Yorinks, an American author, playwright and director best known for writing Hey, Al, which won a Caldecott Medal. Illustrated by Maurice Bernard Sendak, an American author and illustrator of children's books.

    Condition

    In the original pictorial paper covered boards. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
