First edition, first impression. A short novel found in draft form after the author's death and published posthumously, which tells the story of the Pythia, the priestess of Apollo at Delphi. Written by Sir William Gerald Golding, a British novelist, playwright, and poet best known for his debut novel Lord of the Flies. He was awarded the 1983 Nobel Prize in Literature.

Condition

In the original black cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is very smart with minor wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
