A three-volume facsimile of The Constitution and Finance of English, Scottish, and Irish Joint Stock Companies to 1720, originally published between 1910 and 1912 in three volumes.

This work was written by William Robert Scott (1868-1940), a political economist who was Adam Smith Professor of Political Economy at the University of Glasgow.

Volume I covers the general development of the Joint-Stock system to 1720; Volume II covers companies for foreign trade, colonialisation, fishing and mining; and Volume III covers water supply, postal, street-lighting, manufacturing, banking, finance, and insurance companies.

With a folding plate to the rear of Volume III. Collated, complete.

Condition

Uniformly bound in the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Folding plate is in excellent condition.
