When a red-haired girl names Tilly accidentally drops her toy bear into the pen of a young polar bear at London Zoo, she is shocked to watch it carry the toy to its cave. Later that night the bear comes to Tilly's home to return the toy. Written and illustrated by Raymond Briggs, an English illustrator, cartoonist, graphic novelist, and author who achieved critical and popular success. He is best known for his 1978 story The Snowman whose cartoon adaptation is televised and musical adaptation is staged each Christmas.

Condition

In the original pictorial dust wrapper and cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original clipped dust wrapper is very smart with the odd small mark to panels. Minor bumping and small closed tear to rear top joint. Ink inscription to front free end paper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
