First UK edition. Very scarce edition. A brightly coloured folding farmhouse carousel which opens out to become the perfect rural doll's dream landscape. With a main house, stables, watermill, vegetable patch, rabbit hutch, wooden bridge over a stream, a greenhouse, washing line, and more. All doors and gates are moveable, with working watermill and a washing line with string. All in perfect working order. Illustrated and designed by Maggie Bateson, an American illustrated and paper engineer, and Herman Lelie, an English book designer.
Condition
In the original pictorial paper covered boards. Externally, very smart with minor sunning to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Original green ribbon ties are very smart. Internally, firmly bound. Folding parts are all in perfect working order. Previous owner's stamp to the front pastedown with light spotting to the pastedowns only.
